What is the basic principle of injection molding?

The injection molding process involves flowing plastic melt into a closed mold cavity under high pressure, heating and condensing to obtain a plastic product with the same shape as the mold cavity. So, today the editor will talk to you about the basic principles of injection molding.

Plastic plasticization: During the injection molding process, solid plastic moves upwards through a rotating screw, periodically moving in the direction of the groove, and is heated, compacted, stressed, and mixed through the screw. It has been transformed into a delicious liquid plastic melt with symmetrical density, viscosity, and composition, and is naturally stable.

Injection molding process: The plasticized plastic melt is stored in the storage area of the material barrel, and the screw rotates along the axis during the injection process. Under the action of screw injection pressure, plastic melt passes through the cylinder at a specific rate. Pour the nozzle from the front section into the cavity of the mold, using the forming mold casting system, etc.

Cooling and solidification process: The plastic melt flowing into the mold cavity overflows, thereby eliminating various flow resistances. The plastic melt added to the cavity is subjected to significant pressure from the cavity, which drives the flow of the plastic melt. The trend of returning to the cylinder is that due to the cooling effect of the cavity, the plastic melt is heated and expanded. At this point, the screw is used to obtain pressure again to maintain the addition of plastic melt into the cavity without displacement, and to fill the mold cavity appropriately through plastic melting. The main body adds shrinkage space in the cavity until the plastic melt gradually heats up and solidifies into a product.
