1. Determine the number of mold cavities based on the size and thickness of the product, as well as the amount of glue injected by the injection molding machine. The transparent panel is a balanced runner. Generally, two holes are opened for the first mock examination. When the size is small, four holes can be opened. If more than four holes are opened, the operation difficulty of the injection molding machine will increase, leading to an increase in the rejection rate.
2. Selection of parting surface: Due to the simple shape of the transparent panel, the parting surface is generally selected along the edge of the plastic part to leave the dynamic mold of the plastic part. Also, attention should be paid to checking the demolding angle at the edge of the plastic part. The demolding angle should be large enough and there should be no small R on the parting surface.
3. The selection of the injection position for transparent panel injection molds is very important. For PMMA molds, the mold runner should be bent into an S-shape, and the end of the runner should be designed with a long cold well, otherwise it is easy to produce air marks and melt marks during production. Choose a gate at the large end of the injection molded part to make it easy for the plastic to fill the mold cavity and make the bonding line between the two holes less obvious.
4. The design of the exhaust position generally does not allow the appearance of needle marks on transparent panels, so an auxiliary flow channel needs to be opened to assist in ejection, which also serves as the exhaust.
5. The selection of steel for transparent panel injection molds is generally below 100000 yuan in production, and Japanese NAK80 can be used. If the production is large, S136 or other steel with good grinding performance should be selected, heat treated to HRC48-52, and polished after precision processing to obtain very good results.
6. Transparent panel mold ejection design. Generally, transparent panels do not allow the appearance of ejector pin marks. The ejector pin for plastic parts is designed at the injection port. On the small protrusion of the plastic part, the rubber position is extended, and one ejector pin is added. Two ejector pins are ejected to ensure smooth plastic demolding.
